I started the day by going for a jog but rain started to pour. I came back home and used the oscillating machine.
I made ice cream today. Most of the ice cream in the market contains egg whites so as a vegetarian family I make ice cream for the family. Today I made jackfruit ice cream, after learning the recipe online.
I had a good time continuing to read As a Man Thinketh book today. I would like share my experience of reading this book as this was also my journal entry today. The part which I learnt today is on how thoughts becomes habit, and habit becomes circumstances. Our pure thoughts which crytalize into habits of temperance and self control, which solidify into circumstances of repose and peace. Our thoughts are the key to our life.
Anapanasati meditation is so powerful. This meditation is thought to the world by Buddha. We can either sit on the ground or on a chair to do this meditation. Technique is very simple and many people have achieved miraculous experience by practising this meditation. We have to close our eyes, and grasp our hands together and cross our legs together. Even if we are sitting on a chair we would have to cross our legs. And we have to focus on our breath. Sounds simple but the challenge is on focusing.
We have to overcome any thoughts which arises and focus only on our breath. Thoughts will arise, that is normal but we have to bring our attention to our breath.
